【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesrequirementsforhelmetsforcanoeingandwhitewatersportsforuseinwatersofclasses1to4asclassifiedbyclause4.Thelevelsofprotectionrecognizethatmostfatalitiesincanoeingandwhitewatersportsresultfromdrowningafterconcussionandnotfrombraindamage.Thisstandardisnotintendedtoapplytohelmetsforuseinextremewhitewatersituationssuchasthosewherethejumpingofhighwaterfallsisundertaken,becausetheneedforimpactabsorptionforsuchahelmet,andtheareaoftheheadtobeprotected,aregreaterthanthoseformostcanoeingandwhitewatersports.Thestandardappliestohelmetswithandwithoutholesintheshell.NOTE.Thisstandarddoesnotprovideperformancerequirementsforvisors,chin-guardsorface-guards.
